Ride Rating System

BRDAA has developed a ride rating system which allows cyclists to compare the various levels of difficulty found in BRDAA sanctioned events. By using the same "yardstick" for each BRDAA event, riders can anticipate the training and preparation required for a particular event.

The BRDAA rating system consists of five levels of difficulty representing a very easy ride, progressing to  a very difficult ride. This chart is a guide for your use. Add the mileage for the ride and apply the letter grade and you have your rating. A hilly 62 mile ride would likely have a rating of 62D.
